About our President:  Leslie Nydick has a broad background in negotiation and conflict resolution.  The combination of her experience and training has provided her with the skills that help to insure her ability to facilitate your resolutions. 

Leslie is an experienced mediator.  Her cases involve resolving disputes for businesses, organizations, individuals, and families.  The disputes have included contracts, business planning, landlord/tenant, co-op/condo, elder care, estate planning, family, dissolution of businesses, and employment.  She is also an experienced Arbitrator for the FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), and the NFA (National Futures Association)  In addition, she serves as a neutral Court Evaluator and Guardian in Guardianship Proceedings for the New York State Supreme Court.  Leslie shares her experience by coaching, mentoring, and training new mediators.  She teaches a mediation course and a mediation apprenticeship as a member of the Faculty of New York University

Prior professional experience has encompassed real estate, financial services, start-up enterprises, childcare, elder care, publishing, telecommunications, entertainment, education, construction, and government. 

Leslie has received extensive conflict resolution training through The Center for Family Mediation, NASD Dispute Resolution, US Bankruptcy Court, New York Stock Exchange, FINRA Dispute Resolution, New York University, and various professional organizations.  Leslie is also licensed by New York State as a Real Estate Broker.

In addition to being a graduate of Cornell University, Leslie is a dedicated volunteer with several organizations.  She has been appointed to numerous leadership positions and has received many awards for her community service.  
 

Her positions and awards include being selected by Cornell Board of Trustees to serve on the University Council, being selected as the first recipient of the Human Ecology Award for Achievement in Career & Community Service, serving on the Advisory Board for the Summit School, serving as a Member of the Fraternal Order of Police, and serving as a Mentor to students and young professionals.
